I took my boys, and another kid, to a hockey game tonight. The Oklahoma City Blazers!
(I'm a big hockey fan... the Jackson Hole Moose are my favorite team. And the Av's... they're alright too.)
Our seats were the nose bleeders, and it was actually more fun watching the boys than it was the game.
In the first fight a player got knocked smooth out, and laid on the ice for about 15 minutes... after five minutes it was scary.

ain't nothing like a minor league hockey fight...
the younguns' always throw the hardest punches. not like they'll be kept out of two seasons or taken to court for it...ahem. that being said. SO JEALOUS THAT EVERYONE IS HOCKEYING TONIGHT.
I love seeing pics of my future son in laws - keep 'em coming! So much style, so much steeze - I just love those boys and their lil' mama!
Good times..nothing like a little hockey to stir the soul of a couple of young lads...looks like they enjoyed it thoroughly...good call Mom..
My girl tells me after her first hockey game(she was maybe 12) that she wants to grow up to be a Zamboni driver. Oh yeah! Looks like everyone had huge fun.
Looks like fun even in the nose bleed section. 15 minutes is a long time.
I miss going to live hockey games *sigh*
Oh well - when Punkin is older!
Glad you had fun with the boys! I've got to get me to a hockey game some time.
Minor league sports are SOOOOO much more entertaining that some major league sports. I love the logos from different teams. Hockey is a totally different game in person. Those didn't look like bad seats compared to the American Airlines center in Dallas. HORRID seats unless you are court side. My uncle used to be professional hockey player.

I come her via OMyWord. I love the nosebleeds! Many a concert or basketball game have been spent with me leaning against the back wall of the arena. Plus, let's face it, the seats are cheaper...
I'm a huge sports fan, but never really got into hockey. I lived next door to an ice rink though and watched a few pick up games. For that reason I definitely got into hockey players!
We now have the CO Eagles here in my backyard...that's a lot of fun :)
Your boys are darlin'
Me and my friends used to ALWAYS get the nose bleed seats.
1. they are cheap
2. you can be as annoying as you want because it is usually empty!!
LOVE THE PICS!
Ahhhhhhhh the nose bleeds! Growing up we always sat in the nose bleed section for Sabres games!
On the subject of hockey, last night during the Buffalo Sabres game a player for Florida got his jugular sliced by the skate of a team mate. It was terrible and terrifing!
Our kids are SO hanging out.
who cares how bad the seats were...you guys look like you had an amazing time! ;)
I married a hockey player and lived in Canada for 2 years where hockey is bred. However, it is such an expensive sport. Saw the Blues/Wild last night. Fun! I hate the fighting in hockey. I don't know any other sport where you don't get fined/ejected for fighting like that. 15 minutes to be out is REALLY LONG! Scary!
KEEP BELIEVING
You are such an awesome mom! Can I hang out with you guys??
I just read on Drudge about a hockey player who accidentally sliced his teammates throat with his skate. Ack.
Give me good ole' line-drive-to-the-head baseball anytime.
Nosebleed also means Leg Room hehe.
OH exciting! The players getting knocked out are the most exciting parts lol Just like when my husband watches Nascar -- the wrecks are more fun (I mean, assuming no one's hurt).
I LOVE those games--we used to go to Junior Wings (Red Wings--Detroit) all the time. They were the best--can't lie, it was because there was so much action beyond the puck and net!
Your kiddies are so, so cute!!! Love the pics.
Love the pics! Looks like the kids had a great time!
We go to a lot of hockey games. The boys love them.
I'm so glad you guys had fun. Next time we go, I'll call you!
Your kids are just the coolest things.
I love hockey, and I'm thrilled to be living in the heart of hockey territory. My kid won't play football if I have any say in the matter, but hockey? No problem!!
Friggin' great stuff. Great time, great fight, and good seats ;) Families are made of moments like those...I mean minus the fights.
