Gratitude is the Cure for Every Funk

Here it begins peeps.

I am officially out of my blog funk! I didn't realize that until this morning, when all I could do was think....think....think about what my first Gratitude post was going to be. I could not wait to post again, today! (Today, being the very next day after my last post.) When I started reading the comments you guys left for me, I was stunned to hear many of you liked the idea. And I was even more surprised at how many of you said you were thankful for me!!

So, I thought I'd toss this out to any of you who want it.

Deep pink roses say "Thank You."

So, please take this rose with you, and post it if you like. (if you can figure out how to link it back to this post, that would rule!)

You can post it because you want to post some gratitude in December, with me. There are no rules.

Or, you can post it as a token of my admiration, appreciation, and thanks for being such wonderful blogging friends. If you are a man, and you would like to post this, but object to rocking a pink rose on your blog...then you can have this.

Let's see what happens when we fill our holiday hearts with honest thankfulness. Have you ever noticed how you can't really, really stay upset when you are being grateful for what you have, rather than thinking about what you don't have? Have you ever noticed how happy you feel, how complete and whole your spirit feels when you humble yourself, and accept everything in your life as a blessing. It all boils down to the attitude you choose.

I encourage radical creativity! Show me your goods!! And, I will show you mine.

I'm going to be the silliest, thanks giving, freak show...you wait and see! Have fun!

"You would make a lousy anybody else, but you will be the best "you" in existence."

- Zig Ziglar (for you Momo!)

Please let me know if you are going to take a badge, this is my first badge-passing-out party. I'm so excited!! I will also send you the code for the badge of your choice...because I can't figure out how to post the code.

I'm loving this idea, and I'm joining you in a month of Gratitude! (Gotta tell ya it helps that it's "whatever" and especially "whenever", 'cause I'm just the fly by the seat of my pants kinda girl!)

Me, Me! I'm takin' the peace badge, because I am a man.

Oh, I'm not a man? OK, I just like that one. :)

Fussy ~hearts~ Piper!

Oooh, can I take the peace one, too (even though I'm not a man)? I have that one on the fridge - love it!

I heard your cry at Cre8buzz. This is the only way I know how to do this. I have taken a copy of your image and saved it to my hard drive. I then uploaded it to a draft post in blogger which I called "test post for piper love's rose". After it is uploaded you click on the photo and then you can link to in in the usual way, as if it is text. So I then linked it to your site. Next, while in this post, change from the compose view to the edit html view. You will see a lot of html which represents the rose plus the link. Copy the whole thing carefully and go to the dashboard of the blog where you want to install it. Choose Add a page element of the html variety, copy the html code into it and then save and move the page element wherever you want on the sidebar. I put it right at the bottom of my sidebar so you can see it there. Click on it and it comes back to you.
Now I leave these test posts in my lists of posts since I am not sure if the whole thing will disappear if I take it out although I have heard not.
I believe there might be an easier way to do it but I surely don't know it and and I know this way works. So you could put such a post in your draft posts. Then give out the code for it to any one else. You leave the draft post among your list of posts and it hosts the image elsewhere.

You can do exactly the same thing with the peace image.

At least it is a solution. If you get a simpler explanation that works, let me know. LOL

Thanks for the Peace badge option Piper! I'm a self-conscious, insecure, wanna be manly as possible man who is admittedly bad at showing a tender side to anyone but my son. Saying "Peace" I can handle :) I'll think of something worthy to post with it!

I love the quote at the end of this post.

I'm kind of dude-like, too, so I may opt for the Peace thang. I'll have to give this some serious thought!!

Piper! I am so thankful for you dear! I'll be posting soon.

To post the code for others to copy, go to and put in your code. Then click "make it friendly." It will change the code into something you can paste directly into your post, and it will show up on your blog. Then, people can copy it and add the badge on their site. (Was I confusing on that?)

Anyway, I love your spirit!

Yo! Yo! Yo! Although I fancy the rose most of all, I am eternally grateful for the "peace" option because of my love of the written word and because I aint posting no girl rose on my man blog. LOL! I will give her a try at some point I promise...did I promise, it is too late to turn back then. Peace GF!
